DJI Osmo Mobile 7
Ultra-light 3-axis phone gimbal with built-in tripod, ActiveTrack 7.0 and 10-hour battery - the accessible entry point to DJI's stabiliser line.
4.1 / 5
★★★★★ ★★★★★ Highly recommended
Strengths
- Lightest gimbal in its class at about 300g, folding pocketably small
- Built-in metal-hinged tripod removes the most commonly forgotten accessory
- ActiveTrack 7.0 locks on fast and survives brief obstructions
Watch outs
- No longer the newest generation - the Osmo Mobile 8 and 8P sit above it with ActiveTrack 8.0
- Standard model lacks the 7P's extension rod, control wheel and bundled module
- Best tracking features route through the Mimo app; third-party app tracking needs the extra module
- Generation Seventh generation, released February 2025 - NOTE: superseded as newest by the Osmo Mobile 8 (late 2025) and 8P (May 2026), though it remains on sale
- Stabilisation 3-axis mechanical, seventh-generation algorithm
- Tracking ActiveTrack 7.0 via the DJI Mimo app; Smart Capture multi-subject detection
- Tripod Retractable tripod built into the grip; 1/4-inch thread when folded
